Benedictine sisterhood spreads to St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania for the purpose of educating immigrant children.
1863
Benedictine sisters answer the call for a Benedictine presence and service in Atchison, Kansas. Mount St. Scholastica is founded.



1914
Benedictine sisters asked to expand their education ministry to Colorado:
1914-1992 Walsenburg
1934-1971 San Luis Valley
1937-1972 Started St. Cajetan’s School in Denver
1953-1971 Sacred Heart Cathedral School in Pueblo
1964-1982 Started Our Lady of Fatima in Denver
1968 Started Holy Trinity in Colorado Springs
1977 Former Prioress Liguori Sullivan starts John Neumann School in Pueblo
1963
Sisters founded Benet Hill Academy which “grew out of a need-a need for a school in the service of the Lord” (A Song in the Pines). From 1963 to 1982 over 2,000 girls received an education based on academic excellence and Catholic moral values



1965
Benet Hill Monastery was founded by the pioneer spirit of 77 Benedictine women with a passion for the Monastic life and for the needs of the people along the front range.

1982
We Closed Benet Hill Academy and responded to the need for adult lay formation and education in the areas of Bible Studies, Chrisitian Spirituality, Liturgical and Catechetical Training, Retreat Ministries and Spiritual Direction.


2008
We sold our properties on Chelton Road and built a new Monastery and Ministry Center at our Benet Pines Retreat Center.

2009
We moved to our new location, 3190 Benet Lane in northeast Colorado Springs.



2010
Benedictine Spirituality Center in the Pines continues offering Benedictine Spirituality, Scripture Studies, Retreats and Contemplative Prayer. We expanded globally with online classes.
2011
Benet Hill Monastery sponsored the St. John’s Bible exhibit with Colorado College.



2012
New direction is developed in Scripture studies with the program: “Walking With Benedict Through the Scriptures.” A Blog was created for Benet Hill: “Presence in the Pines.”
2013
Benedictine Spirituality Center partners with Pillar Institute.


2015
