“God alone is enough. God alone is enough. Whoever has God wants for nothing.”
As I reflect on my years of vowed life, I have found that God alone is enough. I am grateful for God’s calling and the gifts given to me. These last 60 years would never have become a reality for me if it had not been for my first 20 years growing up in Colorado Springs in a loving, caring family. I am grateful for the treasure of loved ones, especially my parents, brothers and sister and their spouses and families. Their example of love and faithfulness has been an inspiration to me. I am also thankful for the St. Mary’s grade and high school education in Colorado Springs, and for the sisters at Mount St Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas, for my early years in religious life and the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
I taught school in Missouri, Kansas, and in Colorado, I taught in Walsenburg, Antonito, Denver and Colorado Springs. I served the Benet Hill community in many ministries but especially as Director of Transportation beginning in 1972. I handled the records, maintenance and purchase of all the cars, vans and trucks necessary for keeping the sisters safely on their way wherever they ministered.
I continue to serve community faithfully through various talents and gifts, and to share Benedictine radical hospitality, greeting all friends and guests with a welcoming smile. My hobbies are cross stitching, crocheting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and watching my favorite sports teams.
