A resting place among the pines
Columbarium Garden
St. Benedict Cemetery & Columbarium Garden
The historic St. Benedict Cemetery includes a stone Columbarium Garden which beautifully blends into the pine forest. Currently, there are two attractive walls completed with a capacity of sixty-eight niches. Each niche holds four standard urns.
On Memorial Day each year, the sisters host a memorial service for families and friends of loved ones interred in the cemetery and columbarium followed by a picnic dinner in the dining room. Families are encouraged to bring flowers to the service.
The sisters would be honored to have you and your loved ones complete this life’s spiritual journey at Benet Hill Monastery. In addition to the columbarium niche, the sisters are available to help you create a memorial service that is meaningful to your family.
A community of support
“The day of the burial 150+ people attended the service in front of the columbarium. Everything was beautifully prepared for the service. The military salute with taps and the folding of the flag tied into the beautiful snow-filled background. All of Brandon’s friends and family said this was the right place for him because the trees, nature, and beauty described him…Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support during our family’s time of grief.” – Castinado Family
