"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. You are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you."

Birthday: February 14

I entered Benet Hill Monastery in 1974, after teaching with the Benedictines in Walsenburg, Colorado for two years as a VIDA (Volunteers in Diocesan Action) volunteer. My early years as a Benedictine were spent doing parish ministry throughout Colorado. In 1982 I became a fully professed member of this community. To put on the mind and heart of Jesus was my deepest desire.

My time with my Benedictine community was interrupted in 1990 as I found I needed to work through some issues of importance. My heart was never far from Benet Hill during those years away from community.

During my “away” years I worked in refugee resettlement, with persons with serious mental illness, as a ranch hand, and pet caretaker. I grew to have a deep love for animals.

Returning to Benet Hill during their Jubilee in 2015 I awakened my call to come back to community. In August 2016, I was able to return and, after some renewal and study, I celebrated my final profession in November 2022,

with much joy.

I have been a companion for five years for the Global Online ministry (Benedictine Spiritual Director Training) Spiritual Direction School, and I am a spiritual director  both online and in person.

While I enjoyed playing sports in my youth, I now enjoy watching sports on TV, especially women’s sports, the Denver Nuggets and Broncos.

I am grateful for my return to Benet Hill, my welcome here, and my life at the monastery to grow closer to the heart of my God who is my Beloved.
